Hi Manoj,
Are you tired of cluttering your countertops?
I have the perfect solution.
This week's handy and oh-so-stylish furniture project will:
- Streamline your morning routine
- Add charm to your kitchen or home office
A cramped area in one of my friend's vacation rentals posed a challenge for guests.
Inspired by a project from the archives, I reimagined it, providing the perfect spot to keep everything organized.
Oh, and I'm still debating if the color works. I was going for what my old boss called 'light and sweet' to match the project's vibe, but I already had this paint on hand.

Behind the Scenes 🎬
A few weeks ago, I unveiled "Behind the Scenes," a series offering a peek at what it takes to bring you projects. Last time, I tackled my home's dim light, creating a makeshift "photo studio" in my garage's storage area.
The "studio" isn't without its own challenges. The wall I use for photos is only about 7 feet tall, and it has a short knee wall that stands about 36 inches (imagine a wall that barely reaches your waist). Then, the roof angles up from there, leaving me with a tiny area to work. The roof line makes capturing certain angles and shots tricky, especially for bigger furniture pieces.
The angled roof threw me a curveball with these wall-mounted kitchen shelves. Mounting them at the "normal" height meant they'd practically kiss the ceiling, so I had to think outside the box.
Can you tell from the photos that I ended up mounting them about two feet off the floor?!
